 Throughout my experience as a therapist, I have found that people crave relationships. Clients thrive when they are treated as people they are and not just the person seeking treatment. My approach is a client-centered approach in which I take time to build a connection with each and every client. As much as I can, I try to make sure our sessions feel more like a conversation than a mental health intervention. I will give you space to lay out your story, but I will also push you at times to go deeper. I can be straight forward and witty, while still respecting and understanding where my client is in the moment and letting them take lead. My ability to incorporate different treatment approaches allows me to individualize treatment for each client to meet their needs. We'll work collaboratively to help you address the current issues that may hinder you from feeling at your best. 

 

 I pride myself on providing a safe and empathic space for my clients throughout their journey of self-empowerment and self-discovery. I know what it is like to be on the other side and be vulnerable with someone you don’t know from a hole in the wall. I believe the first step is finding a comfortable and safe space to begin the process of exploring your inner being. If allowed, therapy can be healing and empowering to make great change and long term progress in your life.  And finally, I want you to be yourself in therapy.

WOMEN'S ISSUES

DEPRESSION 

ANXIETY

  As women, we can face situations that are specific to our gender including mothering, balancing careers, fertility, sexism, postpartum depression, relationships, and self-care. It can be helpful to connect with someone who has also gone through similar experiences. 

Have you experienced low mood? Lack of motivation? Isolation? Feelings of hopelessness? Together we can explore underlying issues that are making it difficult to function through daily activities.

It can be exhausting struggling with constant worries, uneasiness, or fear that you can’t seem to control. Through our sessions, we will seek to address the root cause of this anxiety and work together on managing your worries and provide useful coping strategies.

Trauma can start to affect how you function in your day to day life and when untreated can lead to various mood disorders and begin to negatively impact your relationships as well. We will safely look back at that trauma and create space for you to find healing. 

Communicating with friends, family, and partners can be tricky to navigate sometimes. Do you want to rebuild trust in your relationships? Together we can explore your relationships and work through major barriers to improve those connections. 

 Is life “all of a sudden” feeling overwhelming (I mean, who thought Covid would last this long)? Maybe you have experienced a sudden life event that you weren’t ready for.  Together we can process these new changes and establish coping mechanisms to manage these stressors.
